The snow that blanketed DFW this week didn’t just transform the landscape—it sparked a wave of creativity across the area. Residents built everything from animal-shaped snowmen to social media influencer lookalikes, taking full advantage of the rare snowstorm.

“Many of you sent us photos of your proud creations made with the cold compact snow and warm hearts,” said the local ABC station.  Whether small or large, each creation demonstrated the fun and spirit of the unexpected snow day.

“I spent 2-3 hours building a snow sculpture that looked like a bear,” Wakeland sophomore Wyatt Garth shared when describing his snow day activities.

But not everyone embraced the winter weather. “I didn’t go out to do any snow activities, I mainly just played on my PS5. I’m not a huge fan of the snow,” said Wakeland student Aditya Bhupathiraju.

While many snowy creations may melt through the weekend, will the joy of seeing them remain with us?
