The overwhelming school pride.

The student section is ready to cheer on your Wakeland Wolverines as they move on to the state semifinals for the first time.

The Wakeland Volleyball team advances to state semi-finals with a three-set sweep over Lovejoy, a team that has only lost one playoff match since 2018! With their win over Lovejoy on Friday, the Wolverines will advance to the State semifinals for the first time in school history. This win is especially significant as their first match of the season against Lovejoy ended in a narrow 3-2 victory, showcasing their remarkable improvement.

On Nov. 19, they will face Argyle, who holds a record of 39-5, in what promises to be an exciting semifinal showdown at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, at 6:30 p.m.

The winner will advance to the 5A Division II title match on Saturday at the same location. Be sure to purchase your tickets through the Curtis Culwell Center to cheer on you Wakeland Wolverines!

Wakeland will be celebrating our state bound volleyball team and coaches with a state send-off on Tuesday, November 19th at 12:00 PM in the main hall.
