In Texas, only so many restaurants serve good, authentic Mediterranean food, and The Halal Guys is one of those restaurants. The Halal Guys began as a chain in New York, and the owner, Ahmed Abouelenein, wanted to spread the joy of his restaurant worldwide. There are several locations already open in Texas, and the Frisco location officially opened on December 25, 2023. The Halal Guys has been an instant success in the community that is appreciated by both consumers and employees.
“The main thing I like about working here is our environment. We’re a team. I like that we all communicate, and we all work together,” said Halal Guys employee Lea Zelon. A happy staff makes for a good experience, and it’s clear that The Halal Guys values their workers.
The Halal Guys offer classic Mediterranean-style food, including gyro, chicken, and falafel platters that come with rice and a choice of any of their special sauces. Their delicious “Goddess” sauce is widely popular, but they offer a variety of options that range from mild to extremely spicy. They also offer add-ons, such as hummus and baba ghanoush.
“Our most popular menu item would be the combo platter. Also, our hot sauce is considered spicy to some, but not to all,” Zelon said.
By providing several diverse options of sauces and toppings, The Halal Guys allows customers to customize their menu choices by making their orders personalized to their taste.
Their deeply flavorful and rich food attracts customers from all over Frisco, and many leave great reviews.
“I love this place! The gyros are fantastic, and the hummus is amazing. The staff is so friendly, and I always leave happier than when I came in,” said local Frisco reviewer Melissa Hecht.
To see if The Halal Guys lived up to the hype, we went out to try their menu items and give an honest review of whether or not it’s worth stopping by. We had Lychee tea, Hibiscus tea, and falafel and chicken platters. Overall, our experience was excellent. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, and the food was delicious. It is an experience we would definitely recommend if Mediterranean food is your style.
The Halal Guys is an excellent way to introduce exotic and tasty Mediterranean food to the Frisco area and generate more interest in visiting the city. Several famous food bloggers have already given their opinions on The Halal Guys.
The City Love List, a blog famous for visiting restaurants in different cities to rate their food, stopped by a location of The Halal Guys in Dallas. They said that the food was “just so freaking good!”
The Halal Guys managed to make its way up from a small food cart in the Big Apple, to a huge corporate chain, largely because of its delicious food. So the next time you’re looking for a new place to eat, check out 4880 Eldorado Parkway and try Frisco’s favorite falafel and gyros.
