As Dancing with the Stars returns with another exciting season, many Wakeland students are tuning in to watch their favorite celebrities and professional dancers take on the challenge of creating and perfecting new routines each week. Seniors Emme Saller and Addison Hunt, both big fans of the show, shared who they are rooting for this season.
“My favorite is Robert Irwin and Whitney because he’s actually a surprisingly good dancer and he has such a good attitude when it comes to learning” Emme says, “The choreography that Whitney comes up with makes him look so good”
On the other hand, Addison is rooting for a well known reality tv star.
“My favorite would probably be Whitney from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Mark,” says Addison, “She already has dancing experience so I’m hoping they win the mirrorball!”
The show’s themed nights are a huge part of the excitement, allowing the celebrities to showcase their personalities while embracing different musical styles. Emme is especially looking forward to this week’s theme: Disney Night.
“I literally love every Disney song,” Emme said, “I am excited to see how the celebrities express themselves through the music and dances.”
Addison, on the other hand, is waiting anxiously for a few weeks from now. “I’m most looking forward to Wicked night because it’s one of my favorite musicals,” she said, “There are so many good songs and I’m excited to see what the choreographers do.”
With its mix of competition, creativity, and celebrity charm, Dancing with the Stars continues to captivate viewers of all kinds, with one thing in common: dance. Whether you’re cheering on your favorite couple or eagerly awaiting the next themed performance, the show keeps audiences dancing along from their living rooms.
