With the year coming to a close, the Wakeland softball and baseball teams look to finish their seasons strong in the playoffs.

The softball team finished 1st in district with a record of 13-1. Their overall record was 22-6.  On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, they continued their unbelievable season with a 15-0 win against West Mesquite in their first playoff game, adding to their win streak.  They are now looking to continue their seven-game win streak in their next playoff game against West Mesquite tonight, May 4, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Lake Highlands High School.  

The baseball team finished 5th in district with a 5-6 district record and a 14-12-2 overall record.  They play their first playoff game against Lebanon Trail tonight, May 4, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. at the Dr. Pepper Stadium and will play games two and three on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
