Volleyball faced Cedar Park to win the UIL Class 5A Division II volleyball state championship

The Wakeland Volleyball team etched their names in Frisco ISD history on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, capturing the 5A Division I State Championship at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland. The Lady Wolverines delivered a commanding 3-0 victory against the Cedar Park Timberwolves, igniting the arena with their exceptional play.

Passionate student supporters filled the stands, creating an electric atmosphere throughout the championship match. Junior Hannah Lee emerged as the game’s MVP, capping off an extraordinary season with a remarkable performance. The LSU commit showcased her prowess by scoring 14 kills across the three sets and concluding her season with an impressive total of 473 kills.

Lee’s outstanding leadership and skill propelled the team to their ultimate triumph, solidifying the Wakeland Volleyball team’s place in state championship history.
