Wolverine Charity Club
Wakeland High School’s very own Charity Club is open, but it is much more than just a club. Wolverine Charity club works with Frisco threads to provide clothing for FISD students in need and switches around organizations to work with every two months. The club is led by Audrey Chapin and Atina Nikpour.
“We love helping out in the community and wanted to find a way to get more people involved,” Nikpour said.
By making a volunteer club, it makes it easier for students to not only be involved in the community but also spend time with friends. The struggle of finding places to volunteer is over with this club because multiple different opportunities to volunteer are provided.
If that wasn’t enough, according to goingivy community service is key to a well-rounded college application, and whichever one you decide to do can say a lot to school admission officers.
