On Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, the seniors enjoyed a night out with friends during Casino Night at Toyota Stadium.
Seniors purchased tickets in advance for $90-100 and wore cocktail attire to the event. Participants were given 2,000 fake dollars that they could use for the games. The event featured many different games, including blackjack, roulette, and poker.
“Blackjack was my favorite because it’s the easiest. I played that game almost the whole time,” senior Haley Reasor said.
Winners of every game were awarded chips, which were redeemed for raffle tickets at the end of the night. The seniors could put their raffle tickets in for a variety of prizes, including Apple electronics, gift baskets, gift cards, and more.
“I wanted to win the iPad and the AirPods, so I put all my tickets into both of those,” senior Jocelyn Lindsey said.
Casino Night also featured a photo booth and The Game Show Experience, which allows participants to experience what it’s like to compete in different game shows. The seniors participated in groups for games like Family Feud, and the winners received additional raffle tickets. This experience is available for anyone to try in Downtown Frisco, as a fun group activity or a team-building exercise. For more information, you can visit their website at thegameshowexperience.com.
“The game show experience was a great way to play non-traditional casino games with friends, while still having the opportunity to earn raffle tickets. I played a water bottle flip tic-tac-toe challenge and won,” senior Riley McCain said.
Overall, the night was a fun opportunity for seniors to bond with their friends and classmates. It is one of many events throughout the year that helps make senior year even more memorable. Seniors can treasure these memories for years to come, and other grades can look forward to participating in these events once they are seniors.
“I thought this was a great way to celebrate coming to the end of our senior year, and the parent committee did an awesome job of making it an incredible experience for all students to enjoy,” McCain said.
