As the end of the third quarter of the 2023-24 school year approaches, students are anxious to have some time off to recharge mentally. Lucky for them, spring break is right around the corner. From March 11-15, 2024, students will have the week off of school for spring break. Whether they spend time traveling or staying at home, it is guaranteed to be a week full of fun activities and rest for students.
This year many students are not only leaving Texas but leaving the country to explore new places and make memories.
“I am going to Costa Rica to celebrate my brother and I’s birthdays and graduations. I am looking forward to the beach, cuisine, and hiking in nature,” senior Lily Chattin said.
In addition to traveling to experience beaches and different cultures, students are also excited to see international historical sites.
“I am traveling to Peru to see Machu Picchu and to go see the hot springs. I am most excited to experience the beautiful weather in South America,” junior Piper Strange said.
Some students are also staying closer to home by traveling within the United States.
“I am going to Las Vegas with my family. We are going to see Cirque du Soleil and America’s Got Talent,” sophomore Eva Bush said.
Other students try to make the most of their break with fun, but relaxing activities.
“I am going on a cruise to Mexico and the Bahamas,” sophomore Inara Haney said.
Overall, students have a range of options for their time off and spend it doing many different things and activities. Whether it’s staying home or traveling, this spring break will be full of many memories and fun new experiences.
