Get ready for music, games, and other fun activities during the upcoming Wolverine Games on March 28, 2024! Wolverine Games is like a field day for high schoolers to relax and make high school memories.
This year, there will be a variety of activities, such as Jenga blocks, ping pong, Mario Kart, and more, located throughout the school. The yearbook staff is sponsoring a photo booth in the cafeteria. There is also a dodgeball tournament, sponsored by Science National Honor Society, which allows students to create teams and compete against each other. There are also students against staff volleyball and basketball games. There are also a variety of fun activities outside, such as kickball, ultimate frisbee, and much more. Chick-fil-A and other food trucks will be serving breakfast, so be sure to pre-order your meals to skip the line.
The games will take place in the morning, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Students with late arrival for first period may arrive at 9:30 a.m. Students with CTE during this time will be excused from their CTE class. Collin classes during zero hour and first period will have to stay in the library until they release everyone from class. Once the games are over, students will report to their second period for attendance, go to lunch, and then attend their third and fourth periods.
Unlike last year, this year’s games will be held in March to accommodate AP testing.
“I think it’s better for students who are taking AP tests because it doesn’t distract the flow of studying closer to testing,” junior Afreen Azam said.
Just remember to have fun and create memories with your friends and teachers on that day, especially if this is your last year!
