Wakeland High School (WHS) is excited to present its winter musical, Pippin, from December 12 – 16 at the WHS auditorium. This production will focus on both the art found in theater and the commitment shown by its cast and crew.
“This show is going to highlight the magic that theater creates,” said director Olivia Cantrell. “Fine arts are a great way of self-expression.” Theatrical performance is the bridge for emotional and creative exploration. Senior students reflect on their expression and personal transformation through the craft.
“It’s going to be very emotional since it’s my senior show,” said Bella Dowdall. “So it feels like I’m saying goodbye.” Her reflection shows the transition coming from this performance, especially for the seniors in the musical.
Additionally, the Assistant Stage Manager Right, Sydney Skiles, explained the emerging friendships among the crew members. As community is key to the team working together. “It’s pretty early on, but right now it’s about getting to know the new people in the crew and preparing for the show,” said Sydney Skiles.
