After its release on March 10th, 2023, Scream VI has received numerous positive reviews from critics, along with grossing 117.3 million in the box office.

Originally created in 1996 with the beloved character Sidney Prescott, the Scream franchise has added numerous new characters related to their legacies.  Returning from the 5th movie of the franchise, Melissa Barrera reprises her role as Sam Carpenter, the Daughter of Billy Loomis (The original Ghostface), along with Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), Chad Meeks Martin (Mason Gooding), and Mindy Meeks Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown) returning.  Courtney Cox also returns as Gale Weathers, making her the #1 actress appearing in a consecutive horror series.

Scream VI follows the “core four” (Sam, Tara, Chad, and Mindy) as they leave the town of Woodsboro for a new beginning in New York City. Unfortunately for them, they are unable to escape their messed up past as a new Ghostface tries to recreate what the previous ones have started. This film embarks on the characters’ journey as they strive to survive and track down the identity of the killer.

Scoring a 77% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 91% audience score, this movie has kept its audience alert with multiple twists and turns and darker creative scenes, causing many viewers to believe that this movie features the scariest Ghostface yet.

For those wanting to see this new movie filled with horror, romance, and comedy, Scream VI is still available to see on the big screen, providing the audience with a more immersive, fun experience. However, for those waiting to watch the film at home, Scream VI will likely release on May 2023 on Paramount, joining its predecessors.
