Attention all Wakeland students, flu season is coming up rapidly! So here’s what you can do to stay safe. Nurse Brown recommends that you wash your hands, exercise regularly to build a healthy immune system and make sure to avoid your friends that are sick. Remember even the most basic hygiene can keep you safe. Be careful when touching any surface, such as doorknobs, water fountains, and especially keyboards from your in tech classes. Try and refrain from touching your face as much as possible, and most importantly, get your flu shots! Local pharmacies such as Walgreens and CVS are now offering flu shots. Even Target and Walmart pharmacies will be offering flu shots at an affordable price. However, the one thing you can’t afford this year is to get sick; this is just a friendly reminder to stay safe Wakeland! Get your flu shot, stay warm, and most importantly, WASH YOUR HANDS!
