Students From Frisco High Schools Finish Second at Hockey Nationals

The Dallas Stars are leading their first playoff series 2-1, and fans across Texas are rallying behind the team as hockey continues to grow in popularity statewide.

In Frisco, the local high school hockey team brings together players from all Frisco high schools to compete as one team. The squad qualified for High School Hockey Nationals in Plymouth, Minnesota, in April after winning the Texas state championship. The team went on to finish second at nationals, earning the No. 2 ranking in the country in its division.

For students interested in playing hockey, the Dallas Stars Metro Hockey League offers a place to start. Fans can also follow the Frisco High School hockey team’s schedule through the Frisco Ice Hockey Association website.
