The first round of the 2026 NFL Draft begins tonight at 7 p.m. Central Time as NFL teams look to add top college talent and strengthen their rosters.
The Dallas Cowboys will be among the teams in the spotlight with first-round picks at No. 12 and No. 20. The team is expected to focus on defense after a difficult season on that side of the ball.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said the Cowboys’ offseason moves have put the team in position to make smarter selections.
“I think we did a really good job of setting ourselves up to be able to draft natural and draft pure, which is what you want to do,” Schottenheimer said. “You don’t want to have to be forced to reach for a player, that’s when you make mistakes.” Schottenheimer also said the team has continued to evaluate its options leading into the draft.
“We’ve added some really good pieces, we’ve got some good depth,” he said. “There are still a few positions that we need to address.”
Tune in tonight to see who the Cowboys select with their first-round picks. The Cowboys’ full set of 2026 selections includes No. 12, No. 20 and No. 92, along with additional Day 3 picks.
