As the North Texas area continues to grow, new businesses are opening across the region. Prosper Gates and the surrounding Prosper area are welcoming several new additions this year, including H-E-B, REI Co-op, Barnes & Noble and Carhartt.
“New businesses are needed to make the community more economically stable,” Braxton Tucker said.
When new businesses open, they increase consumer spending and make shopping more convenient for residents. Shoppers will no longer need to travel to Frisco, as Prosper will offer more retail options close to home.
“New businesses are good because more people will come to the area,” Olivia Lee said.
People are drawn to neighborhoods that offer both shopping and job opportunities. That’s one of the main benefits of suburban life — it’s smaller than a city but still offers plenty of places to shop and work.
“My favorite thing about shopping is the different styles you can find,” Sandra Moammar said.
Shopping continues to be popular among younger generations, who enjoy discovering new products and trends. The addition of new stores is expected to have a positive impact on Prosper’s economy and community growth.
