Legacy Line tryouts are right around the corner. If you are looking to make new friends and represent Wakeland, look no further than Legacy Line.
To audition, participants must demonstrate the following skills:

Calypso

Double and triple turns

Left and right splits

Spinning disc

Switch arabesque

Press leap

Tilt jump
Tryout clinics will be held April 21–23, where officers will teach a technique routine, team strut and dance. A mock tryout is scheduled for April 23, where dancers will perform in front of Mrs. Grubb and Mrs. Broadfield.
Official tryouts will take place April 24. Participants will be placed into groups of three to five, with at least one veteran dancer per group. A minimum score of 70 is required to make the team. Results will be posted by midnight Friday, April 4, on the Wakeland website. After tryouts, hopefuls may email Mr. Durand to request their tryout score.
Attire Requirements:

Solid black leotard or fitted top (must fully cover torso; straps at least 2 inches wide)

Black leggings

Tan jazz shoes, freeforms or half soles

Hair secured in a low ponytail (straight or curly)

No jewelry, fingernail polish, hair accessories or body/hair glitter

Game day makeup: foundation, brown eyeshadow, blush, eyeliner, false eyelashes and red lipstick

Audition number pinned to chest (number provided day of auditions; bring four to six safety pins)
