The Frisco ISD community will come together to honor the legacy of Staley Middle School during a farewell event scheduled for May 17 from 1 to 3 p.m.
The event will provide an opportunity for students, families, staff and alumni to reflect on the school’s impact and share memories from its years of service.
On Oct. 20, 2025, the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees voted to close Staley Middle School following the 2025-26 school year due to declining enrollment. Beginning in fall 2026, students currently enrolled at Staley will be rezoned to Griffin, Trent or Hunt middle schools.
The farewell event will include a final campus walkthrough, refreshments and remarks from a guest speaker. The Staley Middle School band will also perform. The official closure ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
Attendees must RSVP by May 10 to participate in the event.
During this transition, Frisco ISD officials say the community remains committed to supporting students, staff and families affected by the closure. Organizers describe the event as both a farewell and a celebration of the memories and achievements that will continue beyond the school’s closing.
