The Wakeland High School track and field team is building on a strong 2026 season, following last year’s historic district win for the boys team. The Wolverines continue to train and compete with determination as they aim to uphold their growing legacy.
In 2025, Wakeland’s boys 4×400 relay team made school history by capturing the district championship. This year, with district meets taking place at Stanbridge Stadium and Little Elm’s Lobo Stadium, the team is eager to defend its title.
District competition kicks off April 10, with Wakeland set to face strong teams from Reedy and The Colony. Win or lose, the Wolverine community stands behind its athletes as they continue to represent the school with pride.
