Wakeland athletics are heading into the home stretch of postseason competition this week, with the golf and tennis teams competing at the regional level.
On the golf course, Luke Colton and Maxton Brown will represent Wakeland as qualifiers at the regional tournament, which will take place Monday and Tuesday at Tanglewood Golf Course. The Wakeland girls golf team will compete at the same location on Wednesday and Thursday, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. each day.
Meanwhile, Wakeland tennis will also be in action at the regional tournament hosted at Prosper Richland High School. Matches are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., as players look to advance further in postseason play.
Fans are encouraged to come out and support Wakeland athletes as they compete against top talent from across the region.
