The past few weeks have been full of competition in the Wakeland community, and that continued with the track team’s district meets at Lobo Stadium and Stanbridge Stadium.
The boys team worked hard to defend its district title and is proudly heading to the UIL area meet. They’re continuing the strong legacy of Wakeland track from previous years.
Area qualifiers include Jaden Bourque, Drew Brooks, Jackson Cook, Dylan Grzywinski, Harrison Hur, Adam Lane, Myles Lashley, Travis Martin, Blake Moon, Bradley Vacek, Jose Vasquez and Walker Woodyard. Area meet throwers are Drew Brooks, Harrison Hur and Jose Vasquez.
The athletes will compete at Stanbridge Stadium in Carrollton for this round of meets. Be sure to show your support for the Wakeland track team as they advance in the postseason!
