The Wakeland varsity baseball team is finishing the season strong, sitting first in the district with an impressive 9-2 district record and an overall record of 16-9-2.
April marks the final month of the season, but Wakeland continues to show up and play hard. The month began with a 3-2 win over Lone Star. After a loss to the same team in March, the Wolverines were ready to bounce back and claim victory.
The team kept the momentum going with back-to-back wins against Turner High School, including one shutout 11-0 game. After a close loss to Hebron, the Wolverines recorded a resounding 6-0 win over Reedy on Tuesday, April 14.
This Friday, April 17, Wakeland will face Reedy again at 7:30 p.m. The season will then wrap up with two final games against The Colony. The last game of the regular season will be Friday, April 24, at Wakeland. Come out and cheer on the team as they close out their strong season!
