Recently, specialty drink shops have become increasingly popular, especially among teenagers. Two well known options are Sonic and Swig, both offering customizable drinks. While both are popular drink destinations, customers point out differences in the atmosphere, pricing, and overall experience.
One main comparison is how often customers revisit each location. Swig tends to attract repeat customers who stop by whenever they get the opportunity. They also speak very highly of the service workers.
“I come whenever I get the chance, so probably a couple times a month,” explained sophomore Addisyn Kahouch. “The staff is really nice too, and they’re all really sweet and helpful with recommendations.”
Sonic, while not always a regular stop, still leaves a strong impression when customers do visit.
“I come not too often, but when I do it is great!” said sophomore Tayler Pollard. “My favorite drink is the Dirty Dr Pepper.”
Taking all into consideration, both locations shine in their own drink options. Swig is known for its creative specialty drinks, with favorites like the Shark Attack and the Founder standing out among customers. Meanwhile, Sonic continues to deliver classic favorites that keep customers coming back, such as their widely popular ocean water.
While Sonic offers variety through its long established menu, Swig appeals to customers looking for unique flavors and a personalized experience. As speciality drink shops continue to grow in popularity, both Sonic and Swig prove they have value in their options, each in their own different ways.
