The school SAT is coming up on March 4th. All 11th grade students are automatically registered to take the SAT, free of charge, during the school day. If you are present on March 4th for period 1A, you will need to go to your test room. Here are some things to remember.
The SAT will be administered on campus at Wakeland on Wednesday, March 4th, to juniors only. The test will start at 9:00 am, and any student who arrives late will be denied the test. That includes late arrival students who must arrive by 9:00 am. Those testing are not allowed to have cell phones or smart watches during the exam; they must be powered off and stored in your bag. If you are found with any prohibited device in the testing room or during a break, your score will be canceled. You will receive an email on February 27th with their test room number. Please make sure you bring a fully charged school issued Chromebook, pencils, snacks, and a calculator, as Wakeland will not be providing one
If you would like to send four free score reports to colleges of your choice, you can review the list of colleges and universities available for score reporting and select up to four during exam setup. You may search by school name or location to add them. No code is required, and this step is completely optional.
To prepare for the SAT, you can take practice tests on Bluebook, the College Board, or do practice questions on Khan Academy. As well as reviewing your PSAT score and seeing specific things you missed. Remember to pace yourself, don’t stress about the difficulty level, focus your practice on areas where you need improvement, and make educated guesses when you get stuck.
Good luck, Juniors, on the SAT, and don’t forget to get enough sleep the night before the test, eat a good breakfast, and try your best!
