Q & A
- What made you want to go into teaching?
- “I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, but what really solidified my decision was when I was in high school and had some friends that struggled with dyslexia and reading comprehension. I was always able to explain content to them in a way that made sense and helped them be successful.”
- What’s your favorite part about teaching English and why?
- “My favorite part of teaching English is getting to teach rhetoric. Teaching students how to critically analyze things around them; this is one of my favorite future-ready skills to review with students. Beyond that, teaching as a whole is something I enjoy (regardless of content); being able to focus on my philosophy of Maslow’s before Bloom’s makes me feel a great sense of purpose in life.”
